tiNhearT – tiNhearteD

tiNhearT is the bedroom project of Brighton songwriter Piers Blewett. Started in 2011 as an idea to explore concise and melodic song writing, the first tiNhearT release was a well-received covers EP of Dan Amos songs, one of the original influences behind the project. Piers self-released his first EP of original material called tiNhearteD in early 2012 receiving radio play on BBC 6music whilst garnering some good press both in the UK and US, among them long-time supporters of Piers’ band Stick In A Pot, Neon Filler, who called him “..one of the UK’s most promising and genuine singer songwriters.” This EP has now been re-mastered for re-release by Three Sixty Records. Piers is currently developing new material for his next release.

Review of EP on SYFFAL

tiNhearteD is an ep of flowing, considerate songs that don’t beat you over the head nor talk down to you. They’re like putting your hand out of the window of your car on an old highway on your way to nowhere.

Music, good well-written, well-played, thoughtful music has become a reassurance that no matter how deeply I feel about the ever unfolding events of my life, there’ll always be some dude who sings way better than I can who feels that shit too. And I find that extremely comforting.

Phole – Oppositeland – Out Now

Phole Oppositeland

Phole follows up with a new album “Oppositeland” after his last “Pleasing”. On “Oppositeland” Phole takes a more electronic approach to his melody based productions which manages to allow you to either pay attention or drift off with it in the background.”

If you think about oppositeland, the first things that come to mind are for instance: Every one is walking backwards, every thing is upside down, you talk in an opposite language and you are wearing your clothes inside out.

But if you think about it a little longer you’ll soon discover that it goes a bit deeper. Your senses will get messy as well, you can hear smelly things and taste sound waves and amplitudes. Eventually you’ll learn that there is actually nothing in oppositeland, that we do have in normal life. And vice versa. All of life’s impossible-to-answer-questions will be answered in oppositeland. At the same time oppositeland can describe a less abstract story about the present and the future, where all natural life is left behind and everything is turned in mechanical and synthetic material.

Phole is a producer and pianist from Groningen, in the North of the Netherlands. At 18 he got his first piano lessons and a year later started to produce downtempo beats as “Phole”. Inspired by the piano lessons Phole became interested in jazz, which you can hear in his first trip-hop EP “Pleasing.” At the moment Phole is inspired by more experimental music, and has created a unique collaboration with “Brombaer” called Globo, Since spring 2011 he is working on a new album called “Philosophy of opposite land” which will be out May 7th.

James Bernard returns with his latest release on Three Sixty Records. With great production Introspective is written with minimal layers of sound and effects, giving you a feel of classic minimal electronic music all based around a 303 .

BIO
James has been producing EDM since 1993 under many different monikers. His earliest releases were on the legendary UK record label, Rising High Records, where he was label-mates with artists like Luke Vibert, Mixmaster Morris, The Black Dog, Union Jack and Hardfloor!

James has released many records since 1993. As Influx on Sapho records, a sister label of UK label Rising High. His first ambient album, Atmospherics was released in 1994 on well respected label Rising High. He also releases on Isophlux Records (as Influx and Protocol), Analog Records (as Influx), BML Records (as Influx) and now on Three Sixty Records. Please See Discogs.com for his complete discography.

As the trance scene evolved and became more commercialized, James started to experiment with producing other types of electronic music. Soon, Influx had changed it’s sound into a more IDM, syncopated style and more releases followed on a slew of other indie labels (Isophlux, Analog Records and more) and resulted in him signing to TVT/Wax Trax records in 1998 as the primary member of the group “Expansion Union”.

A song that was written in his bedroom, named “Playing with Lightning” as a working title, had gotten the attention of someone with New Line Cinema who chose to use the song for the movie “Blade” (with Wesley Snipes) and include it on the companion soundtrack CD. Over 700,000 copies of that CD were sold and James received a gold record for his achievement.

James spent many years also as the face of Korg, doing demos for the Electribe series and also as part of the Korg Sound Design team, where he created sounds and patterns for many of their synths including… EA-1/ER-1/ES-1/EMX1, MS2000, microKorg, The Legacy Collection and many others.

Fast forward to 2012 and James is still producing lots of music and his sound has matured greatly. One minute he might be working on some epic bass style track, the next an ambient/electro-infused texture.

“Blackmill has quietly built a massive following, on his own, away from the media spotlight via his Youtube Channel.

Biography
Born in 1991 Watford United Kingdom, Blackmill started off producing music at the age of 8 when he received his first musical instrument, an acoustic guitar. Although he loved to play it in 2005 he discovered a musical software program called FL Studio, he was hooked straight away on producing Electronic Music.

After producing Trance from 2008-2010 under the alias “Robert J.C” Blackmill heard the genre Dubstep and had the idea of combining the two, Melodic Dubstep as he calls it was born. He pushed out a remix of Ellie Goulding’s cover of Elton John’s “Your Song” which went viral after Ellie Goulding herself posted it on her Facebook. On February 28th, 2011, saw Blackmill’s first release, his debut album “Reach For Glory”. December 21st 2011 saw the release of Blackmill’s second album “Miracle.” In February, 2012, Blackmill’s song “Evil Beauty” was featured on the BBC Series “Hustle” Episode 6 which again gave him another large boast in publicity.

Blackmill still continues to produce Melodic Dubstep with a new album out in Dec 2021.

Music for Moving Images Vol 4

Music for Moving Images Vol 4
“Music to an Imaginary Film”

Artwork by Imaginary Foundation

This is our fourth compilation, which includes some of our favorite artists and showcases the wide range of music we like at Three Sixty Records.
Album artwork by Imaginary Foundation was inspired and created after we sent our friends at IF the demo album to enjoy. We liked the artwork so much when we saw it, we asked if we could use it for the cover art, and they graciously said yes! Creativity full circle.

Here at Three Sixty we like to think of ourselves as a small boutique label. We don’t like genres, so you will find it hard to put us in any one specific style. We started making and releasing music in 1995, and created this compilation as a way to highlight our music to the Film and TV industry.

If you want any information on a particular artist please email us at. press@threesixtyrecords.net

Paul Littlewood – Photograph EP

Paul Littlewood has a signature arrangement style, a way of doing songs. No fancy tricks, no production wizardry, just subtly changing low-key textures and a voice. Born and raised in South Yorkshire in the North of England he has spent most of his 30 years writing and performing, developing a sound which is uniquely inspired by his changing surroundings. A huge fan of lo-fi, all of his compositions are recorded on a beloved Zoom MRS-1266, 8 track recorder, giving listeners freedom to find in them what they wish.
