Biography
The Mothboxer story starts around 2007. Dave Ody had just released his album “Geen” through Lineout Records. Bob from Lineout said to Dave “Play this live!!” so Dave set about forming a band. The live Mothboxer consisted of Dave, Robbie Burley, Phil Davies and Jon Hawes. They played a few select gigs around London and the South East of the UK and the recep- tion was encouraging enough to keep them booking shows!
The band released “Mothboxer” in 2010 picking up local and mainstream radio play. The album con- tained essentially the live set plus more! With high praise and plays from Gary Crowley on BBC Radio as well as online favourites, Amazing Radio and Jango, the band built it’s fanbase considerably.

The critically acclaimed “Frequency” album followed in Summer 2011 with “Three” arriving in December 2012 generating major radio play in the UK and in- terest from the US including invites to play the Inter- national Pop Overthrow festival in Liverpool and London in 2013.

The Death Valley Blue EP contains three brand new tracks from this prolific and acclaimed UK artist showing a more experimental, studio based side to the bands signature melodic power pop.
