When 4 Blokes from Maidenhead in England found each other in school it was kismet. Then known by another name, the four that is the The Furze released GOLD DUST NOISE (\u201902).\u00a0 A collaboration with Ignition Records (Oasis and Mercury Rev), and producer Jim Abbiss (Bjork, Sneaker Pimps, U.N.K.L.E., DJ Shadow, Kasabian). The early release E.P. \u201cSTEALIN BEATS\u201d,\u00a0 was acclaimed by Radio One and NME as \u201cSingle of the week\u201d\u2026 a force to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n

Toured endlessly in\u00a0the U.K playing along side a huge variety of acts from early\u00a0Aqualung, Feeder and Kaiser Chiefs to The Darkness as well as playing many festivals and headline sets affirming them as \u201cone of the best live acts on the scene\u201d Sir Bob Geldof. \u00a0 The next step was a short tour in California \u2026 beginning with a charity gig at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and wrapping up in L.A. by headlining at the famed Troubadour and dropping in to support the late legendary Elliot Smith.\u00a0As well as numerous guest appearances, other projects have found them writing the sound tracks for films \u2018Happily Even After\u00a0 by San Franciscan moviemaker, Unsu Lee. And \u2018Hello You’; a full length feature film from highly acclaimed director, John Keats.<\/p>\n

Konami approached\u00a0 the boys for a track and used \u201cStealin Beats\u201d for the first Playstation 2 dancing game \u2018Dancing Stage Megamix\u2019, which has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide,\u00a0 and started a worldwide craze. Half the album was used for\u00a0the award winning Channel 4 comedy series \u2018Teachers\u2019 series 2 & 3. Apple inc. also approached us for music to use in projects, for things like \u2018Logic Pro\u2019 and Final Cut Pro, their music and video footage is now being used in Apple\u2019s promotional material.<\/p>\n

A combination of The Furze well earned experience, loyal fans and a do it yourself style, has realized the release of 4 singles , two albums, an EP of demos; \u201cSKELETON\u201d (rare) which marked the Launch of their own record label \u2018Cagey Records\u2019.<\/p>\n
