Sr Mandril have played all over Mexico, South America and the Caribbean, here they are on rocking the stage on a trip to Canada to play at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal (Montreal, Canada). At the head of Mexico City’s musical avant garde, Sr. Mandril synchronize bossa nova and Latin jazz with electronica grooves that bathe their audience in tropical warmth. Founders German González and Ramsés Ramirez marshal percussion, guitar and sunny vocals that pull every posterior out of its seat and propel it to the dance-floor. Rolling Stone raved about their 2006 Festival show, so they were asked back. They return with more irresistible rhythms and a new album perfectly titled Terragroove.
